Koenigsegg
Intending to produce a “world-class” sports car, Koenigsegg Automotive AB was founded in 1994 in Sweden by Christian Koenigsegg. Several years of development and testing led to the CC8S, their first street-legal production car in 2002.
Forbes listed the CCXR, the company’s “green technology” vehicle, as one of the “world’s most beautiful cars” in 2009. Awards received by the company include the 2010 BBC Top Gear Hypercar of the Year Award for the Agera.
Koenigsegg’s future models include the Koenigsegg Jesko, which is planned for release in 2021, with a total of 125 units expected. The Koenigsegg Jesko Absolut scheduled for 2021 is claimed to have a top speed of 310 mph. In 2022 the company is planning to debut 300 units of the Koenigsegg Gemera.
