  • Maintenance: Factory-required maintenance items like oil changes, filter changes and tire rotations

Cost of a Toco Extended Warranty

Based on Toco warranty reviews, many customers seem happy with the price of their Toco contracts. Our researchers contacted Toco to ask about Orange Plan coverage for a 2015 Nissan Altima with 120,000 miles. We were offered the following contract terms:

  • Term length: Unlimited Month-to-Month
  • Financing: $96.50 per month
  • Down payment: First month’s payment
  • Deductible: $100
  • Total cost: Varies
  • Cost per year of coverage: $1,158

This price is about average for an auto warranty. It is neither exceptionally low nor exceptionally high. The financing terms are good for the industry, requiring no down payment and offering a low overall monthly price.

However, this is just an example. Extended warranty costs are different for every customer and vehicle. The cost of your Toco Warranty plan will be impacted by factors such as:

  • Coverage level and contract length
  • Deductible
  • Vehicle make and model
  • Vehicle age and mileage
  • Location

How to Get a Quote and File a Claim

Toco auto warranties promise to pay the repair costs of covered components after a mechanical breakdown. This coverage goes into effect after a 30-day/1,000-mile waiting period. After the waiting period, if your vehicle experiences a mechanical failure, take it to any licensed mechanic, repair shop or dealership. Have the repair facility call Toco at 800-616-1215 and provide your customer contract number.

If your claim is approved, Toco will pay your repair facility directly, and you’ll only be responsible for paying your deductible. Toco warranty reviews suggest that the Toco claims process is smooth and efficient.

Transfers and Cancellations

If you sell your covered vehicle before your Toco coverage expires, your contract can be transferred to the new owner for a $75 fee. This fee is only $40 for Florida residents, and there is no fee for New Hampshire drivers.

Toco contracts can be canceled at any time, and you will lose only what monthly payments you have already made.

Liability Limitations

Toco does not promise to pay an unlimited amount for repairs. Each repair visit has a maximum reimbursement limit, which is equal to the current trade-in value of your vehicle. There is also a total contract reimbursement limit, which is equal to the retail price of your vehicle on the day you purchase coverage.

Toco Warranty Reviews

Toco Warranty reviews are largely positive. The company is accredited and has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau (BBB), but what is even more impressive is that Toco has a 4.2 out of 5 BBB customer review score based on over 80 reviews. It is very rare to see an extended warranty company with a customer rating this high on its BBB profile.

Customers who did complain were upset that their claims were denied. However, many Toco reviews reported fast claims and a pleasant customer service experience.

Our Verdict on Toco: 4.3 / 5.0

Toco warranty reviews indicate that customers are satisfied with Toco claims servicing, which is extremely important for an extended car warranty provider. It’s certainly worth considering a Toco warranty if one is available to you. We recommend shoppers include Toco among the companies from which they request claims.

  1. TOCO Auto warranty will find down to the tiniest of details to NOT pay your claim. Do not deal with them. They will rob you of your monthly payments and almost always deny your claim. They refuse to take auto maintenance records from a licensed mechanic for OIL CHANGES. Said they are not verifiable receipts. An ASE Certified mechanic and they wont take his receipts saying he maintained all the oil changes on the car.
